Miss American Sweetheart
Most American Sweetheart pageants begin registration at 9 a.m Please arrive by 9:30, at the very latest, dressed, and ready to compete! Upon check in please have your photos ready with your name and age on the back and your food boxed and counted. You will then receive your contestant number and your emcee card. This will be read by the emcee while the contestant is on stage. If you have a name that is hard to pronounce please let the emcee know ahead of time, we don't want to butcher any one's name on stage. We start the line up promptly at 10:00 if your child is not ready she will not be eligible for side awards.
Every American Sweetheart Pageant has a beauty wear and a theme/casual wear. We are not a Glitz system so you don't have to go out and spend hundreds of dollars on a dress.
For Beauty Wear it can be a Sunday Dress, Party Dress, Flower Girl Dress, Natural/ Semi Glits Pageant Dress. The Length does not matter as long as the dress fits and looks good on.
For Theme/ Casual Wear most pageants we will have a theme picked and if you are not comfortable wearing a themed outfit you are more than welcome to wear a nice casual outfit.
We have two optional events, Miss Photogenic and Viewer's Choice.
To enter Miss Photogenic it is $15 for the first photo and $5 for any additional photos entered. Please have them ready when you arrive so that we can get them judged before the competition begins. All photo's MUST be picked up after crowning, those that are not picked up will be discarded.
The Viewer's Choice title is voted on by the audience, friends, family, etc. Each vote is $1.00 and the contestant with the most votes wins. Money collected for the Viewer's Choice title is to be turned in at the front desk. Please place it in an envelope with the contestants name, number and division clearly printed on the front. Remember, this is a great way for grandmothers, aunts, uncles, etc. who cannot attend the pageant too still participate.
Let's discuss Hair and Makeup! We highly discourage fake teeth (flippers), full wigs and spray tans. With that being said we want your contestant to feel like a princess. So a little makeup is fine, we just don't want our 2 years olds looking 24 please. It is important to us that she feels good on stage and loves the way SHE looks! However modesty is something we do not compromise on! Please no boobies or booties!
Every contestant is recognized with a crown at crowning.
The Princesses will receive a crown.
The division Queens will receive a sash, crown.
Optional Queens (viewers choice and photogenic) will receive a sash, crown, and goodie bag.
Supreme Queens receive a sash, crown, goodie bag, and half off entry fee on a future pageant with us.
Queen of giving will receive a sash, crown, goodie bag, and free entry fee on a future pageant with us.
Side Award winners will receive metals.
Stage rules are simple have fun, model like you would do for a fashion show! We will have upbeat music playing. Remember, the judges are looking for personality plus!
Every contestant is judged individually.
For each outfit the contestants are judged on a scale of 1 - 10 in three categories. 1. Over All Appearance 2. Stage Presence 3. Personality We do our best to select judges who are not partial! I would like to remind parents that on any given day with three different judges and an outfit change you will get totally different results! Please no DRAMA QUEENS! We are all here to have fun and make a difference!
